Acrylic Key Tutorial
In your kit this month you will get a set of acrylic keys. For those of you who may find acrylic intimidating this will help you get through that!!! This technique is fun and easy!!! I hope you all give it a try!!
Acrylic Key Tutorial
Supplies needed:
Acrylic Keys – Maya Road
Embossing Powder in 3-4 colors
Perfect Medium or something similar, ink will also work
Heat gun
embellishments
Wipe around edges of keys with Perfect Medium or ink.
This allows embossing powder to adhere to key.
Pour embossing powder on key covering entire area that has been
Inked or glued
Shake off excess.
Heat with heat gun until powder is is melted. Be careful not to overheat.
Acrylic is flammable and will also warp if it gets too hot.
Here is how the keys should look after embossing.
Tie ribbon through keyholes and embellish. Hang on a hook or use as page embellishments.
